There was also a mention from notable ex Ton Pentre midfielder Alex Lawless who has made a name from himself in the English Leagues with spells at Forest Green Rovers, Luton Town and now his current club Yeovil Town.
It’s fantastic to be hosting such a wonderful JD Welsh Cup fixture at Ynys Park against Bangor City. We’re a fan owned club, run by the community for the community, which has shown with the interest in the match.
With the game being on television it provides a fantastic opportunity for the club and the Rhondda as a whole. This will be the first time that a sporting match has been televised live from the Rhondda. There’s been a lot of hype in the build-up but the players must now remain focused on the task at hand. If they keep their concentration, you never know what could happen
