RECAP: Barry Town United v Connah’s Quay Nomads

Ninth-placed Barry Town United host third-placed Connah’s Quay Nomads at Jenner Park on Sunday, with Barry looking for their first in win in four games in the league, and the Nomads searching for a win which will lift them to second.

Both sides were in Nathaniel MG Cup action on Tuesday, with the two suffering mixed results at the Quarter-Final stage of the competition.
Barry Town United lost to local rivals Cardiff Metropolitan University as the Archers scored two goals without reply, with Gavin Chesterfield utilising his squad as he gave first team opportunities to a number of fringe players.
The Connah’s Quay Nomads however won away from home at The Airfild as they saw off the threat from lower-league opposition in Airbus UK as Callum Morris and Michael Wilde scored in the first and second half, to progress to the next round.
