Bala Town have secured the services of former Bangor City right back Lee Owens, after the full back left the Citizens by mutual consent earlier in the day.
Owens, who had only signed for Bangor earlier in the summer, was reportedly involved in an on field bust up with one of his teammates and had agreed to leave the club along with Ryan Wade.
The former Wigan youth academy player, moved to Rhyl in 2008, and in between a spell at Airbus for four years, he spent time with Vauxhall Motors.
However, the full back has now made the switch to Maes Tegid ahead of the 2016/17 season.
Bala manager Colin Caton had this to say to the club website on securing Owens’ services:
“I am very pleased that we have signed Lee and he is in my opinion up there with John Irving and Ryan Valentine as one of the Welsh Premier League’s top right backs. He will strengthen the squad even further, he is versatile and able to play in other postitions.” he added.
