The Second Round of fixtures were played in the Welsh League Cup this week. A total of seventy-one goals were scored in the fifteen fixtures played. Llanelli Town without Lee Trundle who was with his wife in the waiting room awaiting the birth of his child were part of the only game that went to penalties in which Llanelli were 5-4 victories on penalties after the game finished 1-1 in 90 minutes.
A total of four games went into Extra Time, one being Barry Town United against Afan Lido who came straight out of the blocks for the extra thirty minutes, finishing as convincing 3-0 winners.
Newport City still have to play Panteg AFC to conclude the Welsh Football League Cup fixtures.

One of the standout moments of the round was Risca United’s Liam Shaw scoring a beauty of a strike where the ball was crossed in and he scored with an acrobatic finish, fortunately the cameras were there to see the strike.
