The New Saints have confirmed the signing of former York City striker Wes Fletcher.

The 25-year-old was previously on the books with Manchester United and Liverpool before signing for Burnley where he made two appearances. During his time at Turf Moor he played for several Football League clubs on loan including Grimsby, Accrington, Crewe and Yeovil.

After his release from the club, he signed for York City. He made a total of 61 appearances for the club and netted 16 goals in the process. Following a two year stint at the club, he signed for Scottish side Motherwell, but only netted a solitary goal in 14 appearances.

The Ormskirk born player will no doubt add competition to The Saints frontline which already includes Scott Quigley, Alex Darlington and Greg Draper.
