Tuesday night sees Bala take on TNS at Flint in the second game between these two sides in the space of three days.
The Saints will have the upper-hand coming into the game following their emphatic 5-1 win over their opponents at Park Hall on Saturday. This kept Saints’ 100% record alive, a record they’ll be hoping to maintain tomorrow night.
The Saints have already sustained a six point gap at the summit, six clear of their nearest rivals gap Connah’s Quay. Despite sitting second, Bala have had an inconsistent start to the season, and despite winning last weekend against Cefn Druids, they currently sit sixth in the table. Lack of goals has been the achilles heel for Bala this season, scoring only five thus far.
Both sides will have key players absent from the game, but Bala are worse off. With an already injury hit side, Colin Caton’s side suffered another blow when Anthony Stevens received his marching orders on the weekend. I’m sure The Lakesiders will be hoping to make amends against the reigning Champions, whom have only Adrian Cieslewicz unavailable. This will be The Lakesiders’ last game before returning to Maes Tegid on the newly laid 3G pitch.
