Former Bangor City and Cefn Druids player Matty Hurdman has signed for Holywell Town, it was announced today.
Hurdman brings a wealth of experience to an already buoyant Wellmen squad, having both Welsh Premier and Europa League experience.
Having signed the central midfielder, manager John Haseldin spoke to Clwb Pel Droed:
I’m delighted to be able to bring Matty to the club, he has a fantastic range of passing and understanding of the game. We feel he’ll bring an extra bit of quality needed to open up defences in tight games which we often get at this level.
Noting Hurdman’s ability to bring a winning edge to games, he also touches on Hurdman’s pedigree and the prospect of a debut this Saturday coming, which will be a baptism of fire in the derby with Buckley.
He has a great pedigree and plenty of experience for a player of his age. He’s trained with us the last few weeks and fitted in really well with the lads. He’s desperate to get back playing and will come straight into the squad for Saturday derby away at Buckley.
Stay tuned for the latest on the Flintshire derby and all Huws Gray Alliance action this weekend on Clwb Pel Droed.
