Aden Shannon spoke to Clwb Pel Droed after the game.

“Massive win for the lads as we knew that was a tough place to go for me from the start we bossed the game, and should of been two up after ten minutes but after twenty minutes the game settled and port got into the game and maybe should of gone in at half time 1-1 but Ben Jones was superb in goal and kept us in front.

Second half for the first ten minutes was end to end and could of gone either way but after Cully scored a 25 yard worldly we knew it was our day, but credit to Port they always believed they could maybe get back into the game and if I am honest they deserved to – Ben Jones was outstanding in saying that everyone of my players was outstanding and dug deep to make sure we seen the game out.”

Buckley Town 1-5 Holywell Town

Shaun Tuck (18, 57, 75) Ryan Davidson (50) OG (66) Lee Healey (70)

John Haseldin spoke to Clwb Pel Droed on the win.

“Fantastic reaction from the lads after last week’s cup defeat. Very pleased to get back to winning ways, thought apart from a 10 mins spell before half time we were in total control of the game and looked like scoring every time we went forward. The football and discipline from the players in a derby game was excellent.

The 2 new lads Matty Hurdman and Shaun Tuck were outstanding and they will only get better with games. We have an excellent record in derby games and we will look forward to another one next week vs Mold.”
