Ham departs for Westfields FC

Cwmbran Celtic have lost midfielder Chris Ham to Hereford based side Westfields FC.

The Fields play in the ninth tier of English football and are the lowest ranked side left in The Emirates FA Cup with their fixture against Curzon Ashton coming up next week, which will have no doubt been a major pulling factor for Ham to depart the Gwent based side.

Ham himself made the headlines last year when he won JD Welsh Cup ‘Player of the Round’ after scoring the “finest goal seen in the 20 year history of Celtic Parkl in the words of Cwmbran Celtic official John Stockwell.

He leaves the club which sit fifth place in Division One for Westfields who currently sit second in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
