Following a 1-0 defeat to Caersws on Saturday, Gareth Thomas has resigned as manager of Denbigh Town.
Thomas’ resignation comes after a run which saw Denbigh lose three of their last four games, with the club currently dwindling at 14th in the Huws Gray Alliance.
Joining Denbigh for the 2015/16 season, Thomas took the club all the way to then Word Cup final where they lost in respectable fashion to The New Saints. In the league, a positive campaign saw Denbigh record an impressive 20 wins, taking them to a third place finish.
After last season, expectations were high and Denbigh’s form of just three wins in the league all season and a early Welsh Cup exit have seen Thomas resign.
