Port Talbot Town icon Martin Rose has signed for Division 1 outfit Goytre United.
The striker spent nine season with the Steelmen, and has become a cult hero at the club, and was a major part in the club’s more successful years.
He was part of the side that gained European qualification when the side finished third in 2009-10, the first time the club had ever qualified for Europe. He was also at the club when they were defeated by Bangor during the 2010 Welsh Cup Final.
However, last season the club experienced off field difficulties and were relegated from the Welsh Premier League for the failure to gain a domestic license.
Rose has now left the club and has signed for fellow Port Talbot outfit Goytre United, who will be hoping he finds his goal scoring boots sooner rather than later for them much like he did at the GenQuip Stadium.
With Sam Wade having departed for Llanelli, the supporters will be hoping Rose can hit the back of the net to make up for the loss of Wade.
