Cinderford Town snap up Alderdice and Thomas

Southern League Premier side Cinderford Town have signed Carmarthen Town forward Matthew Thomas and versatile Goytre defender Jack Alderdice. 

Both players had only made moves to their club this summer, as Paul Michael as added two more players who have played in the Welsh pyramid system to his side.

Alderdice, a Division One title winner with Monmouth Town can play in defence as well as midfield, with his former side Goytre currently sitting top of the Division. He scored for Monmouth in their 5-3 Welsh Cup defeat two years ago to Welsh Premier League side GAP Connahs Quay.

Matthew Thomas, who signed from Risca United after six years of service with Gwent County League side Abercarn, impressed in pre-season with goals against Penybont, Risca and Haverfordwest County.

Thomas will have a welcome reunion with Paul Michael at Cinderford, as Paul Michael formerly managed Risca United.
