Football is a team game, however there are certain players who are vital cogs in every team. Here are three key players behind the success of run away Huws Gray Alliance leaders, Prestatyn Town.
Noah Edwards
Twin brother of Rhyl’s Zyacc, Noah has found himself an essential part of the Prestatyn Town lineup this season. After being deployed mainly as a left back for the duration of last season, Edwards has shown incredible versatility to become an exceptional midfielder. Despite his size, Edwards has shown incredible strength when competing in the midfield battle week in week out as well as adding the creativity in the final third and occasionally chipping in with the important goal. He is yet to miss a league game this season which coincides with the team being unbeaten.
Reece Fairhurst
“Fez” has been arguably the centre half that Town have been looking for for a number of years now. Strong, quick, intelligent and a good ball playing centre back, Fairhurst has been a key factor in the much improved defensive record than in recent years.
James Stead
Pinned as the “dead ball specialist” at the club, Stead has been nowhere near shy of the spectacular free kick this season, but it’s his controlled play in the middle of the park this season, that hasn’t had the recognition it should. Stead is an intelligent player who’s movement of the ball and eye for a pass has been key to the sides domination in games so far this campaign. Undoubtedly his improvement has been key to the success of the team.
