Cefn Druids have resigned forward Ashley Ruane after his loan had been cut short earlier in the season by parent club gap Connahs Quay.
The forward who joined the Wrexham based side earlier in the season, scored 7 goals for the Ancients before heading back to the Deeside Stadium due to number of players being injured at the Deeside Stadium. With the injury problems easing up now, the Nomads have allowed him to depart the club.
The new deal will now see the striker remain at the club until the end of the season, with a chance of a potential second debut for Ruane and the Druids, when they host Carmarthen Town on the final game of Phase One, which will be televised live on Sgorio.
Speaking to the official Cefn Druids website, Huw Griffiths spoke of his delight of recapturing the striker.
“We were disappointed when Ashley was recalled during his loan spell as he had been doing well for us. I am delighted to bring him back and hope he can recreate the form he showed for us earlier in the season.”
Ruane will be unable to feature for the Druids in their JD Welsh Cup clash against Llanfair United due to his involvement with his parent club in the previous round, featuring in the Nomads dramatic victory against Goytre United.

Nomads thank Ashley for his service, he was exemplary in giving all he had. He’s too good a player to sit on anyone’s bench and we wish him well on his permanent move to Druids.
