FC Nomads sign gap youngster Jake Leonard

FC Nomads have made another addition to their squad during the January transfer window, signing gap Connah’s Quay youth player Jake Leonard.

Aged 18, the central midfielder spent 18 months at gap Connah’s Quay – recently making his senior debut in a Nathaniel MG Cup encounter against Denbigh.

Making the short move to FC Nomads’ Wepre Park, Leonard will play in the reserve ranks, supporting the first team who play in the third tier Welsh National League Premier Division.

He will be available to feature in the reserve’s upcoming league fixture against Cefn Druids on Saturday 14 January.

YClwbPelDroed caught up with Leonard shortly after his transfer was confirmed.

“I’m happy to be joining FC Nomads and I’m looking forward to the rest of the season. I know a number of lads in the squad already, so it will be great to link up with them.”
