Winslade joins the Wellmen
Huws Gray Alliance side Holywell Town have signed striker Mark Winsdale from Welsh Premier outfit Cefn Druids.
A powerful striker known for his pace, Winsdale will be expected to add firepower to John Haseldin’s squad, who sit eight in Wales’ second tier table.
Winsdale has played in the Huws Gray Alliance before as a loanee at Flint from Rhyl.
After leaving Rhyl he joined AFC Flyde but soon returned to Flint, scoring 12 goals in 15 games for Flint.
John Haseldin spoke to Clwb Pel Droed after securing Winsdale’s signature.
“Winslade is a Holywell type of player for me, a nightmare for defenders – he’s quick – work’s tirelessly for the team, is good in the air and will score goals.”
“It’s easy to forget he’s still only young but with plenty of experience and knows the league well. I’m really looking forward to getting him in with the lads and he will be in the squad for Saturday.”
Winsdale’s new side are in home action against Holyhead Hotspur on Saturday 14 January for a 2:30pm kick off.
