Citizens make ambitious triple signings
Bangor City have added to their attacking ranks by signing Gary Taylor-Fletcher, Yalany Baio and Louis Robles.
With Jamie Reed returning to Llandudno, Bangor have signed former Blackpool and Leicester City forward Gary Taylor-Fletcher, who has previously played in the English Premier League. He joins a strike force with Football League experience like himself, with Michael Higdon and Daniel Nardiello.
Fletcher was part of Blackpool’s rise through the English Pyramid system and in fact scored in Blackpool’s 3-2 play-off final victory over Cardiff City back in 2010. Taylor Fletcher’s last involvement in English football was a goal in the EFL Trophy for Accrington Stanley against Chesterfield.
On the day that loanee Brayden Shaw returned to Accrington Stanley, manager Ian Dawes has moved quickly in bringing in a replacement through former Sporting Lisbon academy product Yalany Baio, who has been described by Bangor as a ‘tough tackling midfielder’
As well as spending time at Sporting Lisbon, Baoi played for English giants Liverpool up until his release in 2014, he would then play in the Dutch second division for Sparta Rotterdam, he has a full Guinean cap to his name as well as a Portugal U18 cap.
Louis Robles also arrives at Nantporth, after a summer trial at the club before moving to the United States to play college football for LimeStone Saints. Robles was most recently on trial at English Football League one side Coventry City.
Robles had an exceptional goal scoring record at development level for Wigan Athletic and at the age of just 20, time is on his side.
All three signings could potentially make their debuts tomorrow in the JD Welsh Cup clash with Llandudno.
