Airbus UK FC manager Andrew Thomas has signed two more players to bolster his squad ahead of Phase Two in the Dafabet Welsh Premier.
Central defender Steve Tomassen and forward Reece Deakin have both joined the Wingmakers as they fight relegation during the second half of the season.
Joining from Tamworth, Tomassen returns to the Hollingsworth Group stadium for the second time following a loan stint from Wrexham to Airbus in 2012.
Tomassen returns with an already healthy reputation as an Airbus player after being voted club player of the season for Airbus’ Europa League qualifying 2013 season.
After making 43 appearances for Wrexham including their FA Trophy defeat at Wembley, he left the club for Tamworth making eight appearances and scoring four goals.
He will reunite with ex team mate Leon Clowes in the Airbus defence, a partnership that may well become influential if Airbus are to avoid the drop this season.
Reece Deakin will meanwhile feature in Airbus’ attacking line alongside the likes of Tony Gray. A former Crystal Palace youth and Conwy Borough player, he caught the attention of Thomas during a recent friendly where his then side Morecambe U21s visited Airbus.
