Taylor snapped up by Caernarfon
Tom Taylor has returned to Caernarfon Town from Shawbury United, as Iwan Williams attempts to bolster his defence.
After losing right back Joe Williams and centre back Clive Williams in the Welsh Cup game vs Rhyl, Williams has been short of numbers in the defence and is delighted to bring Tom Taylor to the club. An utility man in defence or midfield, Taylor is a welcome addition to the promotion chasing squad.
Iwan Williams spoke to Caernarfon website on the addition of the former Cofi.
“Tom is a talented centre half who has a wealth of experience in both the Welsh and English systems. It’s no secret that we have been short of numbers recently, especially in defence and this was to after the loss of both Joe and Clive Williams following the Rhyl match, so it’s been vitally important that we bring resources in to see us through the remaining weeks of the season.
Tom has represented us before although his stay with us was short lived due to injuries. He now returns with a hatful of good performances under his belt in the English System and will be eligible for us in the Welsh Cup which is a huge bonus. We welcome Tom back and thank Shawbury for their co-operation in completing the transfer.”
