Port Talbot Town sign Caerau’s Jenkins

Port Talbot Town have announced the signing of Adam Jenkins from Welsh League Division Three high-flyers Caerau.

The young midfielder has made the move to the Division One outfit having played an impressive part in helping Caerau establish themselves in the Welsh League.

He leaves the club in a strong position for promotion from Division Three, where they are currently second – nine points behind league leaders STM Sports.

The contribution of Jenkins has not gone unnoticed by Town boss Paul Evans, who is convinced the youngster has what it takes to succeed at a higher level, with the club currently looking to pull further away from the relegation places this season.

He told the official Port Talbot Town website:

“Adam’s predominantly a midfielder but he can play in a number of different positions. Adam’s got the movement and the drive needed to be a regular face in this side.”

The Blues are currently gearing up for a South Wales Senior Cup semi-final with fellow Division One outfit Taffs Well on Wednesday night.
