It has today been announced that Caernarfon Town boss Iwan Williams has signed a new two year contract with the Huws Gray Alliance outfit.
This is William’s second season in charge of the Cofis after he led the side to a league and cup double last season. However, due to complications with their domestic license application they remained in the Huws Gray and currently occupy second place, behind runaway leaders Prestatyn Town.
Iwan Williams spoke to Y Clwb Pel Droed about the new deal.
“It’s an honour for me to commit to this fantastic football club for the next two years. I think it’s visible to everyone that this club means a lot to me so when they asked me to commit and drive them forward I had no hesitation. This season has been a difficult one but still a lot to play for. We’ve already started planning for next season however first of all we need to consolidate second place in the league and prepare for the semi final of the Welsh Cup which everyone at the club is looking forward to.”
Whilst promotion may not be on the cards due to Prestatyn’s large lead, the Cofis are underdogs in the JD Welsh Cup and are the only non Welsh Premier League outfit remaining and a cup win would give the fans something to celebrate this May.
