Breaking: Penrhyncoch deducted three points
Huws Gray Alliance side Penrhyncoch have been deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player, it has been announced.
The player and game at the centre of this points deduction has not yet been revealed, with a statement on the official Huws Gray Alliance website reading:
“Penrhyncoch have been deducted three points after admitting playing an ineligible player in a league match”.
The ruling plunges Penrhyncoch into a relegation battle, as they sit 12th and now just one point off the relegation zone.
Prior to the deduction they were on 28 points and within touching distance of the 30 point safety mark well recognised in the HGA.
The Roosters have to win all of their remaining games to keep their Huws Gray Alliance absolutely safe, or rely on some the current bottom four to fall on the end of the season run in.
With three games left, Penrhyncoch face Holyhead Hotspur, fellow relegation battlers Mold Alex in a now huge six-pointer, and Porthmadog in their final game of the season.
