Could Llandudno performance be inspiration for Aber?

Could Aberystwyth’s win against Llandudno on Sunday provide them with inspiration and confidence for the remainder of the season?

Tony Pennock got off to the perfect start this Sunday as Aberystwyth cruised to a 2-0 away victory at Llandudno, taking them out of the relegation zone.

The former Hull City coach saw Mark Jones open the scoring in his first game during his appointment earlier in the week before Malcolm Melvin doubled the lead for the Green and Black, much to the delight of Wayne Jones who celebrated with Pennock.

This win was Aber’s first since the 4th February and with such a performance, this could now provide a platform for Aberystwyth to build on for the remaninder of the season.

Aberystwyth now host Rhyl on Friday afternoon on Good Friday in what is a massive clash for both sides, with a win enough to secure Premier League status and thus relegating opponents Rhyl.
