Briton Ferry to host League Cup final

Llanelli Town and Bridgend Street will contest the final of the Nathaniel Cup on Friday 12 May at the Old Road home of Briton Ferry Llansawel AFC, currently of Welsh League Two.

The Nathaniel Cup final will pitch League Two table toppers Llanelli, conquerors of League One Caerau (Ely) in the semi finals, with Splott-based League Three side Street, who stunned everyone by knocking out Welsh League One title chasers Haverfordwest County  on penalties, following a thrilling 5-5 draw that saw the lower ranked side reduced to nine men.

The Carmarthenshire-based side won the toss of the coin and will wear their favoured red strip, with Street in all navy blue for the show piece occasion.

The Old Road ground regularly receives positive reviews from fans and no doubt those travelling from Llanelli and east Cardiff will be happy with the choice of venue.

The match will kick off at 7pm.

Planning how to get to the game? The Old Round Ground can be found at Old Round, Briton Ferry, SA11 2HA.  Briton Ferry has its own railway station, served by a number of Arriva services calling between Swansea and Cardiff.
