Jordan Davies has today revealed he has left Huws Gray Alliance champions Prestatyn Town.
The 21 year old has impressed at the Seasiders ever since joining the club in 2014, quickly becoming a permanent feature in Neil Gibson’s selection.
A player renownn for his awareness, strength and pace at such a young age, he scored over 30 goals in his time at the club, who secured promotion to the Welsh Premier with Davies a key asset in their domination of the second tier.
Davies finished top scorer in the Huws Gray Alliance by some distance on 27 goals in 24 appearances this season, with fellow clubman Jack Kenny runner up on 19 goals in 26 appearances.
Davies has long been rumoured as a potential target for current Welsh Premier clubs, and in a statement on Twitter said he is looking to move on for a new challenge;
“I’m sad to announce that my time at Prestatyn Town FC has come to an end. At this moment in my career, both myself and the club agree that it is time for me to move on and enjoy a new challenge. I want to wish all of the staff, players and fans all the best as they head back into the WPL where they belong. I’m happy that my contribution helped get PTFC back to where they should be, a fantastic club with the best fans in Wales. Thank you for everything.”
