Yesterday’s shock Welsh Cup win for Bala sent shockwaves throughout Welsh football.
The Lakesiders who had never beaten The New Saints in the past 29 meetings between the two sides, pulled off an upset as Colin Caron’s men came from behind to win their first ever Welsh Cup.
Former Wrexham defender Jordan Evans equalised for Bala, cancelling out Greg Drapers opener before Kieran Smith headed in from a Chris Venables header.
Manager Colin Caton, who has overseen Bala’s amazing rise through the Welsh pyramid, solidifying their place in the top flight as well as representing the league against Alloa, thanked everyone who had wished him well.
Some AIK fans, who Bala played in the Europa League last season, wished the Lakesiders well and hoped for a reunion between the two sides.
Thanks to everyone who wished us luck yesterday . And a big thank you to all the messages after are fantastic achievement . ⚽️🏆
