Barry Town United have made their first signing of the summer, capturing Samuel Jones from Cambrian & Clydach Vale.
The 19 year-old winger joins Barry Town United ahead of their Welsh Premier League campaign after spending eight years in the Cambrian & Clydach academy, where he has had the chance to mature and develop as a player.
Jones was a key part to Cambrian’s youth side who made it to the final of the FAW Youth Cup – during their journey to the final, Jones scored all four of his side’s goals as they overcame Bangor City 4-3 in the earlier stages of the competition.
He’ll be hoping to play a part as Gavin Chesterfield’s men start their Welsh Premier League adventure after a 13-year absence.
Both Jones and Chesterfield expressed their delight after he put pen to paper in what is set to be a gruelling, yet exciting experience for everybody involved within Barry Town United football club.
Can’t wait to get started with @BarryTownUnited in the Welsh Prem🔶🔷
