Bluebirds appoint former Pontlottyn boss

Welsh League Division Three side Trethomas Bluebirds have appointed former Andrew Diggle as their new First Team Manager.

Diggle had previously been assistant manager at the club when they won promotion to the Welsh League back in 2015/2016.

The former Pontlottyn manager who has also had experience with the Cardiff City Academy took Potlottyn to the Welsh League play-offs, as well as winning two Cups as a manager.

The club sought a replacement after the board asked former manager Gareth Kedward to step down as First Team Manager.

The Trethomas Bluebirds board released a statement on the appointment of Diggle, welcoming him back to the club.

“We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Andrew to the club and the committee look forward to working with him and his coaching staff in the coming season.”

Diggle himself spoke of his delight and the job he has ahead of him. He also spoke of the good feedback he received on his appointment.

“I’m looking forward to the big challenge ahead. The potential is huge I couldn’t turn down offer after feedback from players & people I trust.”
