The Cefn Druids have announced the signing of forward Lewis Buckley as well as tying down Ellis Healing and Ashley Ruane.
Buckley who was released by Llandudno has signed at the Rock, whilst Ruane and Healing who joined the club permanently in January, helped Druids to Premier League safety.
Buckley was part of Llandudno’s Cymru Alliance winning title team back in the 2014/2015 season, where he scored 2 goals in 6 appearances, as well as featuring for Dudno the following season in their debut Premier League season, scoring 7 goals in 32 appearances for Alun Morgan’s men.
Speaking to the official Cefn Druids website, manager Huw Griffiths spoke on capturing long term target Buckley.
“Lewis is someone who we targeted this summer. After initially speaking with him and then meeting up at The Rock we knew he would fit in with the dynamics we have within the group. He’s a striker who can hold up the ball and link play as well as being deadly in and around the box.”
One player who will be playing alongside Buckley will be forward Ashley Ruane who has also committed to the club as confirmed by cefndruids.co.uk.
Ruane was amongst the Premier League top goal scorer scorers, scoring 11 goals in 19 appearances for the Ancients after his move from Connahs Quay Nomads.
The club are also hoping to make more movements in the transfer market with a possible further two signings over the next coming weeks.
