Les Davies signs for Bala Town

Bala Town have made one of the biggest signings of the summer so far, securing prolific centre forward Les Davies from rivals Connah’s Quay Nomads. 

Davies, also known as a ‘Y Truck,’ is one of the most prolific names in the history of the Welsh Premier League.

He made his name at Bangor City where he won the Welsh Cup and WPL title, going onto be named in a 32-man shortlist for UEFA’s best player in Europe which included the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.

Davies has played for Wales at an U21 level and represented the nation for Wales’ Semi Pro national side in 2006.

The forward joined Connah’s Quay in the summer of 2015, going onto make 70 appearances scoring 26 goals.

Now a stalwart of the league, he will add experience and textbook power to Bala’s front line as they prepare for a Europa League campaign, finding out their first round opponents on 19 June.

He will wear number 14 for the Lakesiders in the coming 17/18 campaign.
