Caersws snap-up Premier League winner Sherbon from Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth Town midfielder Luke Sherbon joined Cymru Alliance side Caersws following his departure from Park Avenue.
Caersws announced yesterday that Sherbon would be moving to the Bluebirds on their social media platforms yestrday.
‘The Birmingham born midfielder started off his career at Aber before moving to Rhyl in July 2009 and returning the following August.
He has had bit spells in Australia, returning temporarily to Wales before joining Dandenong Thunder as well as Bentleigh. He also played for Cymru Alliance side Penrhyncoch in that time.
Sherbon returned to Aberystwyth and helped guide them to the Europa League play-offs for the first time in the clubs history but unfortunately lost 9-0 on aggregate to Irish side Derry City.
He made 248 appearances for Aber over 14 years scoring 52 goals in the Welsh Premier League.
Overall he made 280 Welsh Premier League appearences scoring 62 goals. In his time spent in the Premier Leauge, he was part of the Rhyl side that won the title back in 2009.
Sherbon revealed that fellow Cymru Alliance side Porthmadog were also interested in his services but he chose Caersws over Craig Papirnyk’s men.
