The New Saints who won the Welsh Premier League last season, will play Europa FC, who won the Gibraltar Premier Division last season. by just a single point.
The New Saints hold home advantage in the first leg as they host Europa, who are managed by Juan Jose Gallardo on the 27th/28th June.
They will then travel to Portugal with the Estádio Algarve being a potential venue to host the away tie, this game will be held on the 4th/5th July. The Gibraltar Olive Press say that two stadiums in Spain could also be a viable option.
The game will be held in Portugal due to the renovation work being carried out at the Victoria Stadium, where all Gibraltarian sides play.
Should Scott Ruscoe’s men over come the task of getting past Europa, they will then be left with the task of playing Croatian champions HNK Rijeka.
Rijeka won the league title by a narrow two points last season, with Dinamo Zagreb’s 5-2 win on the final day, not enough to stop them from claiming the title from Croatia’s third largest city.
