Interim New Saints manager Scott Ruscoe says he won’t mention the clubs favourite tag to his players in their Champions League Qualifier against Europa.
The Champions of the Welsh Premier League drew the Gibraltarian’s Champions in the Champions League draw yesterday.
But on the same day, Ruscoe oversaw a 1-1 draw with Scottish Premier League side Rangers, as both sides prepared for their European ties.
Speaking to BBC Wales Sport, Ruscoe spoke about the tie and said they will approach the game in the right manner, with the thoughts of playing Croatian side HNJ Rijeka.
“We’re not thinking of the Croatian champions yet,” Ruscoe said.
“First and foremost we’re looking at these two games and really taking them seriously as we do any opposition.
“Our clear message will be – play your normal way, respect the opposition for what they’ve done but remember that we’re the seeded team and they’re the unseeded team.
“We’ll be the favourites but I won’t be pushing that to the players.
“We’ll be telling them let’s get the work done in the first leg and see that second tie out.”
