The forward’s family have roots in the Taffs Well setup and the club have expressed their delight at having secured one of their targets.
“We watched him on several occasions last season and we were impressed. He is following his father’s footsteps as a Taffs Well player and his grandfather who was an Amateur League manager at the club.
Sam has a natural instinct for scoring goals , something that’s hard to come by these days. He was also very keen to come to Taffs and try to better himself at the higher standard.”
The striker stated he really enjoyed his time at Ely Rangers and hopes to kick on during his time with Taffs Well, testing himself in a higher division.
“I really enjoyed my two seasons at the Rangers. Julian and all the lads were quality but I felt it was the ideal time to move on and see what I can do in Division 1. I would like to thank Bridgey and all at Taffs Well for giving me the opportunity to prove myself at a great club.”
One player who could be playing alongside Sam is Taffs Well youth player King Junior Mdwezo who has agreed first team terms with the club, following promotion from the Wellmen’s youth team.
