Lakesiders sign former Airbus UK and Chester attacker Glenn Rule
Bala Town have completed the signing of former Welsh Premier League winger Glenn Rule after recently completing a trial period at the club.
Glen adds versatility to the Lakesiders as he can operate as both a full-back and a midfielder, becoming the clubs fifth summer signing following the arrivals of Les Davies, Eddie Toner, Andrai Jones and Evan Horwood.
The 27 year-old recently played in Stephen Fisher’s testimonial game with Caernarfon Town, as well as coming up against his old side Chester.
Birkenhead-born Rule started his career at Chester making his debut against Carlisle United. He made 26 appearances before leaving Chester to sign for Northern Premier League side Colwyn Bay.
Less than a year after joining Colwyn Bay, Rule left for Stalybridge Celtic where he registered 30 appearances for the Celtics.
After a year with Stalybridge, he signed for Airbus, where he made over 100 appearances scoring 12 goals. He left Airbus after 4 years to join Stockport County where he appeared in 23 games netting 2 goals.
Rule scored a memorable goal for Stockport County against Nuneaton back in 2015 as he hit a shot first time on the volley to send the fans into raptures.
