Meet the Trethomas Bluebirds left-back who is Europe’s second best FIFA player

Deep in a small village of Caerphilly lies a Trethomas left-back who is able to boast that he is the second best player in Europe on the EA Sport’s FIFA.

A 19 year-old named Zac Moore recently took part in the FIFA Interactive World Cup where he finished only second to professional e-gamer AFX Ajax Dani.

Now Ajax are the giants of Dutch football and recently took part in the Europa League final, as they finished second in the Dutch top flight.

Compare and contrast to his competitor Zac Moore who played in the Trethomas Bluebirds side that finished mid table in Division Three of the Welsh Football League last season.

His involvement in the gaming world came about as he stumbled across Gfinity which hosts FIFA tournaments for young gamers back in 2015. He put the time and effort in to practice to take on higher competitors and later appeared in tournaments in London which had him ranked in the top eight and 16th in Europe in both his first and second years.

The dominance of the New Saints was a story of Welsh football and Moore followed in their foot steps with an impressive 152 wins and 8 defeats.

Moore is making an impact both in the e-gaming world and the footballing world. Last season he made his debut for the Bluebirds in the Welsh Cup at Aberdare Town after impressing in the Reserve and U18’s side at Llandarcy.

He accumulated 15 first team appearances last season as he juggled both his FIFA commitments and his footballing commitments where he’s

Trethomas are now under a new manager as Andrew Diggle took over this summer and both Zac and the club have ambitions of promotion after what was a solid season under Gareth Kedward last season.

“I’m hoping to nail down a starting place under our new manager Andrew Diggle and our ambition this season as a club is to get promoted to Division 2.”

I hope we can achieve this as my ambition is to play as high up as possible in the Welsh leagues as my dad Adam Moore previously played in the Welsh Premier League for Cwmbran Town.”

Asked what his ambitions are with his FIFA Career, Moore is eager to represent a football club in the E-Gaming World, following in the foot steps of many who have become as valuable as a senior football signing.

“My ambition going forward with FIFA is to hopefully sign a professional contract with a Premier League club as football clubs such as Man City, PSG, Ajax, Wolfsburg and West Ham all have FIFA Players who represent them at tournaments.”

As Wales’ sole representative, Moore is certainly putting both himself, his country and his club Trethomas Bluebirds on the map.
