STM Sports ave added to their promotion-winning squad of last season by signing Chris Golton, Joel Queni, Jack Kinnerly and Tom Barry to the club.
The St Mellons side have Division One ambitions and Gareth Morgan has been busy over the course of pre-season in adding quality to his squad.
All four of the players that have been brought in have worked with new manager Gareth Morgan before as he goes with players who he feels are capable in making an impact in Division Two.
Joining the club is experienced shot-stopper Christopher Golton who joins having had experience in the Welsh Premier League over a decade ago with Grange Quinns.
He has previously worked with Morgan at both Llanwern now under the guise of Newport City and at his previous club AFC Porth.
During his time with Newport, he was nominated Player’s Player of the Year in the 2014/2015 season as he helped the club to a top five finish in Division Two.
Joel Queni, a powerful central midfielderfrom the Black Dragons joins STM Sports having won the Young Player’s Player of the Year award at the club for last season.
The tricky winger bagged a number of key goals under Gareth Morgan last season with goals against AFC Llwydcoed and Ammanford to name, finishing the season with five goals.
One player who could be playing alongside Queni in midfield is Jack Kinnerly who has joined the club directly from AFC Porth. Kinnerly is described as a very fast and skillful left-winger who has an abundance of pace.
The former UWIC student turned out for Cardiff Metropolitan Univerity back in 2010 before a spell with Taffs Well and most recently AFC Porth.
Completing the ex-Porth quartet is Tom Barry who signed from AFC Porth having had a spell at Taffs Well and Pentwyn Dynamos.
Golton and Joel Queni have already made their first team appearance for STM Sports, having played in the 3-1 defeat to Welsh Premier League side Carmarthen Town. Joel has played in all of the St Mellon’s sides pre-season friendlies.
Both Kinnerly and Barry made their debuts last Saturday in STM Sport’s 4-1 rout of Western league Division One side Keynsham Town.
