Carmarthen Town bring in youthful five as three players depart Richmond Park
Carmarthen Town this afternoon announced a raft of changes to their First Team Squad which has seen numerous players come in and out to the club.
They have signed five players in Kostya Georgievsky, Kyle Williams, Liam Walsh, Scott Delaney and Tyler Brock whilst Kyle Bassett, Mark Jones and Declan Carroll have all left the club.
Mark Aizlewood’s men have seen a chunk of changes in their first team squad for the upcoming season after five arrivals and three departures.
It comes after the side had finished as losing semi-finalists in the Europa League play-offs following a fifth placed finish in the Welsh Premier League.
One familiar face that Welsh Premier League fans will know is former Aberystwyth midfielder Kostya Georgievsky who left the club back in January to play for Division One side Penybont alongside his brother.
The 21 year-old has played thirty times in Wales top flight and has two goals to his name as he tries to earn a place in Mark Aizelwood’s side.
Joining him from Penybont is Liam Walsh who had only joined the club this summer and has since followed Kostya to Richmond Park after playing for Cymru Alliance side Gresford Athletic.
Carmarthen have continued the theme of recruiting young players by looking to the future in Pontardawe Town forward Tyler Brock who has put pen-to-paper with both the first team squad and the Developmental squad, where he has already made an impact by scoring a hatrick last week.
Risca United and Goytre midfielder Kyle Williams has also joined the club where he has already made his debut for he club as they beat Division Two side STM Sports 3-1.
Last year, Williams was nominated for the Budweiser Goal of the Month award after a thunderous 25 yard strike for the Cuckoos against Aberbargoed Buds.
Wrapping up Carmarthen’s incoming is the cousin of former Old Gold and Wales international defender Mark Delaney, Scott who is a centre-half just like his cousin, who joins from Pembrokeshire League side Goodwick United, after coming up against them in pre-season.
As players arrive, there have also been departures from the club as the squad is freshened up as they seek pastrures new.
Kyle Bassett has left the club due to work and travel commitments by joining Welsh League Division One side Goytre, likewise with Mark Jones who has since left football due to work.
Midfielder Declan Carroll has also left the club where he was reported to have joined Haverfordwest County but has since moved to Aberystwyth Town.
