Cymru Alliance side Airbus UK have pulled off a marquee signing after completing the signature of Bala Town midfielder Mark Jones.

The former Wrexham midfielder left Bala after seven years of service at Maes Tegid earlier this summer in which he helped the side

During two spells at Wrexham, the midfielder made 162 appearances for the Dragons, scoring 26 goals in the process.

Jones who won the Premier League’s Player of the Year award back in 2011/2012 will now be tasked with the job to help Andy Thomas’ men back to Wales top flight.

Speaking to Y Clwb Pel Droed last month, Jones said it was important that if he was to continue playing then it would mean he would have to enjoy it.

“I will see how I feel soon and take it from there. The most important thing for me is enjoyment and that will be key in whatever I decide to do.”

During his time in the Welsh Premier League, Jones scored an impressive 29 goals in 185 appearances where he was viewed as Bala’s midfield lynchpin, featuring for the Lakesiders on the European stage also.
