Cwmbran Celtic welcome back Westfields midfielder Chris Ham to Celtic Park
Cwmbran Celtic have resigned former midfielder Chris Ham from Herefordshire based side Westfields pending international clearance.
The midfielder has had brief spells with Monmouth & Celtic before becoming a member of the Westfields FC team on the 28th October 2016. Ham has praised by many footballing critics, having been on the end of several awards after terrific performances in both Welsh and English domestic competitions.
The midfielder hosts great goal scoring ability and a wealth of experience playing at this level of football. At only 25, he still has time to improve as a footballer, leaving a plethora of opportunities for Chris in the near future.
During his first spell at Cwmbran, he built up a good relationship with striker Josh Bull as the two helped the club to Division Two success just two seasons ago, he will now link up with the Cwmbran Celtic squad and manager Lee Challenger.
Ham spoke on his return to Celtic Park and said he was happy to return to a team with many familiar faces which will help him settle in
“I’m excited to get back to it at Celtic to play with a team that I’m familiar with. We are a very tight nit group of lads that is what drawn me back.”
Also, when asked about what he might bring to the team this season, he replied;
“I like to think that I can bring goals, a creative spark and some experience to the team now and help the younger lads moving forward”
As well as Chris Ham returning to Cwmbran Celtic, Luke Jones signed back with Cwmbran Celtic last week as the Gwent based side look to continue life in Division One after their impressive finish in the Division last year following promotion.
