Cardiff Met striker Adam Roscrow has started this season in the Welsh Premier League in blistering form, so what is the secret to his success?

The 22 year-old has already found the net 10 times in all competition this season and has really come into his own as being one of the ‘best’ strikers in the Welsh Premier League and it is clear that the experience of playing against some of the best defenders in the top flight has helped him improve on his overall game.

As a striker, he’s everything you want. Strong, powerful and able to make intelligent runs as well as chipping in with vital assists for the students this season.

Not only that, but he has also formed a formidable partnership with midfielder Elliot Evans, who has also been excellent for Met which has helped them make a surprising start to the season which sees them currently sitting in third place in the Welsh Premier League table.

And Roscrow’s influence is a huge reason to why they’re up there. Last season, the Met target man scored six goals all season, so it just shows how far he’s come and he has various attributes which makes him a nightmare to defend against.

Roscrow is also a danger in the air due to his height and his movement at times this season, has been exceptional and the difference between this season and last season is that the Met striker has been clinical.

Whenever Roscrow picks up the ball you feel that he could either create an opportunity for Met or put the ball in the net, that is the kind of season he is having at the moment.

His impact this season has been massive and if he can continue his rich form of vain, who knows what Met could achieve and there is clearly a huge belief this season which has been instilled by manager Chrisitan Edwards that the students can challenge for the Welsh Premier League title.

The striker also picked up the player of the month award in August which was a testament to his contribution and Met and he has since gone from strength to strength and there is little doubting that he is in fact one of the ‘best’ strikers in the Welsh Premier League this season – he’s got the stats to back it up, as well.

Roscrow is currently top scorer in the league with both The New Saints’ Chris Seargeant and Barry Town United’s Kayne McLaggon one behind on seven and he’s averaging a goal every 120 minutes – that’s some record for a player who scored just six in all competitions last season.

If he keeps going at his current rate, who’s to say he want reach 20+ goals this seaon, he is certainly talented enough to reach that milestone, that’s for sure.
