Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue to host Nathaniel MG Cup Final
Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue has been chosen as the venue for the Nathaniel MG Cup final between Cardiff Metropolitan University and The New Saints on the 20th January 2018.
It’s the first time since 2015 that the final has been held at Park Avenue, where Carmarthen Town reigned victorious over Bala Town.
Park Avenue also was the first stadium to host the League Cup, 25 years ago, as Afan Lido claimed victory over Caersws on penalties.
For the Archers, it is their first ever League Cup final in their history, whilst the New Saints have won the trophy the most times, winning it eight times on nine occasions.
It will be the South Wales side who will have to do the most travelling, with it being a 232 mile trip for the Archers, whilst The New Saints have 85.8 Miles less to travel.
