LIVE: Follow the live action as Cardiff Met host Connah’s Quay Nomads in JD Welsh Premier League

Cardiff Met host Connah’s Quay Nomads in the Welsh Premier League as the students aim to record their first win of phase two of the JD Welsh Premier League.

The students have struggled lately and they started off phase two in the worst possible as they suffered a 3-0 away defeat to Bangor City at Nailsworth, and the Archers have lost all of their previous three encounters in all competitions, including being eliminated out of the FAW Welsh Cup as they lost 1-0 at Cyncoed Campus to Aberystwyth Town.

With the Archers currently in fifth place in the JD Welsh Premier League, they will be anxiously keen to get a result against Andy Morison’s Connah’s Quay Nomads, who started phase two with a 1-1 home draw with Bala Town.

The Nomads are currently third in the league but a win over Met today will mean they move above Bala, into second place – Morison’s side are in good form having only lost once in their previous seven in all competitions and they will be eager to maintain their purple patch of form in the Welsh capital this afternoon.
