RECAP: Wales C vs. England C – International Challenge Match

Wales C take on England C in an International Challenge match at Jenner Park in Barry.

 

Mark Jones takes charge of Wales, who’s last game was a 0-5 defeat in Port Talbot to Turkey A2 in October 2012. Paul Fairclough’s England play on a more regular basis, and their last outing was a 0-4 defeat against Slovakia U23 in November 2017.

 
Current Welsh Premier League leaders The New Saints have two players in the squad, Connell Rawlinson and Aeron Edwards. Both players featured in the club’s recent victory in the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup against Cardiff Metropolitan University.
 
 
Cardiff Met also have two representatives, Eliot Evans and Adam Roscrow. Both have been in fine form for the Archers this season, Evans is the second top scorer on 13 goals, whilst Roscrow has netted eight times.
 
 
If selected to start, Mike Lewis and Chris Hugh will represent their country on their home ground, Jenner Park.
 
 
Barry Town United forward Kayne McLaggon was initially selected in the squad, but was forced to withdraw through injury.
