Stafford Rangers frontman Daniel Westwood is the latest signing to arrive at Maesdu Park after agreeing to terms with Llandudno.
Westwood is known to Llandudno after scoring against them for Stafford Rangers in pre-season last year. He left the Northern Premier League Premier Division side back in March, as their top goal scorer.
Llandudno have been busy in the post-season transfer window, signing no fewer than six players. Anthony Marshall, Shaun Pearson, Zyaac and Zebb Edwards as well as Connah’s Quay Nomads defensive duo Mike Pearson and Kai Edwards, who will link up with Westwood in pre-season.
“Dan is exactly the striker we’ve been looking for. He’s quick, athletic, and has goals in abundance,” said manager Iwan Williams on Westwood’s arrival to LlandudnoFC.co.uk.
“What’s refreshing is that he wanted to come to Llandudno Football Club and take the Welsh Premier League by storm,
The club has been crying out for hard working goalscorers and in Damian Ketley, and Dan Westwood we have two industrious strikers who will work hard for the cause and epitomise the identity we’re hoping to create next season. Welcome, Dan.”
The striker personally met with manager Iwan Williams on Sunday afternoon, to agree terms with the JD Welsh Premier League club.
The 26-year-old had been watched by clubs at every level of the English pyramid system, following a season where he netted 100 goals in just 72 games for Wolverhampton Sporting CFC in the 10th tier of English football.
