Ely Rangers seeking third manager this year after Cummings resignation

Ely Rangers players will have to get used to a new manager, following Graham Cumming’s decision to stand down.

Welsh League side Ely Rangers are in search of their third manager, following the resignation of Graham Cummings.

Rangers legend Cummings replaced Julian Jenkins back in January who stood down from his role due to work commitments following two and a half years at the club.

He worked alongside the management team of Jason Kavanagh, Ian Davies and Paul Bryant as they finished 15th in Division Three of the Welsh Football League.

“We would like to thank Graham for his efforts and hard work last season.” said an official statement from Ely Rangers.

“Graham will obviously continue to be a great ambassador of the club and a continued key member of Ely Rangers AFC for many more years to come.”

Despite resigning, he is expected to stay at the club. Cummings has been at Ely Rangers since the age of 10 and has accumulated over 550 Welsh League appearances for the club.

Cumming’s last involvement was overseeing a 7-0 defeat to fellow Cardiff side Bridgend Street at Willows High School.

The Cardiff West side retained their Welsh League status by the skin of their teeth, finishing just one point ahead of Neuadd Wen.

Those interested in the job should email elyrangersafc@outlook.com if they are interested in taking the role.

Applicants have until Tuesday 19th June to register their interest to the vacancy at Station Road, with a shortlist and interview process to follow after the application deadline passes.
