Bala Town have made a massive coup ahead of their Europa League in the form of Tranmere Rovers striker Andy Mangan.
The 31-year-old arrives at Maes Tegid, having spent two seasons with Tranmere Rovers, who helped to two play-off finals at Wembley.
Mangan is currently a candidate on the UEFA A Licence course with the Welsh Football Trust and has been working closely with Ste Fisher, who is already at Bala.
“Andy is a massive signing for us at Bala Town. To attract such a talented player at this stage of his career is fantastic,” said manager Colin Caton to BalaTownFC.co.uk
“Mangan will bring so much to the team and the dressing room which is so important to us at Bala with the right blend of person we look for. Andy will fit in well with the group like the other new signings of Steven Tames, Sean Smith, Anthony Miley and Andrew Burns.”
His best season came at Forest Green Rovers back in the 2008/2009 season, scoring 26 goals in 42 appearances for Forest Green Rovers. He then moved on to Welsh side Wrexham, where he scored a total of 23 goals in 67 appearances.
Mangan was part of the FA Cup shock in 2015/2016 when he scored the only goal against Cardiff City in the Third Round.
He has Football League experience with Blackpool, Bury, Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town. In total, he has 22 Football League goals to his name.
