Connah’s Quay Nomads face Crusaders in a pre-season friendly at Seaview Stadium on Saturday, 23rd June – 1:30pm K.O.
The Welsh Cup winners’ clash with the NIFL Premiership and County Antrim Shield champions will be perfect preparation for both sides’ respective European first qualifying rounds. The Nomads face Shakhtyor Soligorsk in the Europa League and the Crues play Ludogorets Razgrad in the Champions League.
Andy Morrison’s men completed their first game of pre-season last Sunday – defeating Cefn Druids 2-1 at The Rock. The Hatchetmen have not played any games this season – prior to tomorrow.
The North Walians travel to Northern Ireland for a third consecutive season – they lost 1-0 to Cliftonville in 2016 and drew 0-0 with Ballymena United in 2017. It is their first meeting with Crusaders and the outcome will be interesting.
