The New Saints have their glamour tie secured with Danish champions FC Midtyjlland after their 3-2 aggregate victory over the Lincoln Red Imps.
Substitute Dean Ebbe was the hero as he came on at half time, scoring with eight minutes to go, cancelling out the Imps opening goal, which would have knocked them out has Scott Ruscoe’s side not replied.
Ebbe’s goal had significant bearing on the Welsh Premier League and its structure. The results before hand meant that Wales were walking a fine line in the UEFA coefficients ranking, with a possibility of losing a spot in the 2020/2021 season.
The win and a draw though, secured the Welsh Premier League would be able to continue with four European spots.
The Welsh Premier League Champions will now travel to the Cardiff City Stadium next Thursday, as they aim to become the first Welsh team to qualify for a European competition.
