Bala Town swoop for Bangor City and Wales C international Danny Gossett

Bala Town have signed Bangor City and Wales semi-professional international Danny Gossett.

The 23-year-old had been training with Jamie Vardy’s V9 Academy over the summer and has put pen to paper with Colin Caton’s Bala Town.

Gossett was included in the Welsh Premier League team of the season last campaign.

The Lakesiders have already made marquee editions in Andy Mangan and Henry Jones.

Gossett links up alongside Ashley Morris and Chris Venables, who also played in the Wales C team defeat to England back in March.

The Welsh speaker began his career with Football League side Oldham Athletic, playing in two games, before moving to Stockport County, making 15 appearances.

He began his time in the Welsh pyramid system with Rhyl back in 2014, making 21 appearances and scoring 2 goals.

He joined Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints but made just ten starts. During his time at Park Hall he won a Welsh Premier League title and a Welsh Cup winning both trophies in the 2015/2016 season.

Gossett’s playing time increased whilst at Bangor City, where he spent a total of two seasons. He qualified for the Europa League with Bangor City back in 2017, making 64 appearances.

The Lakesiders begin their season this coming Friday, hosting Carmarthen Town at Maes Tegid on Facebook Live. Gossett could make his competitive debut.
